This was inspired by some wings I got at a wing spot close to where I lived in Decatur, GA.
I ordered some honey garlic pepper wings and they were the bomb! I recreated that flavor, but with a cornish hen. I originally made this during the summer. However, we grill all year round.
Cornish hens are easy to cook and they taste great!
What you'll need:
1 Cornish hen
2 tsp of ginger paste
3 tbsp of teriyaki sauce
3 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp of minced garlic
1tbsp of black pepper
Mix 1 tsp of ginger paste, 1 tbsp of teriyaki sauce and 1 tsbp garlic in a bowl. Once mixed, scoop the mixture inside the cavity of the cornish hen. Then, mix the reast of the ingredients and use it to season the outside of the hen. You can let it marinate over night or for a few hours. Make sure your grill is hot a d ready to use. Grill the hen for 45 minutes, and flip it frequently to avoid burning.
